Classes:

• 9th grade: Any Choir

• 10th grade: Any Choir

• 11th grade Any Choir

• 12th grade: Advanced Choir. Choose from: Rhapsody, Men’s Ensemble, or Chamber Singers

• In addition, students must take one additional arts class during any year. (Additional Choir, AP Music Theory, Orchestra, Visual Art, Drama etc.)

 

Additional Requirements/Activities:

• Candidates must participate in honor choir OR take and pass ABRSM Performance Test level 5 or higher OR perform in a WHS mainstage musical production.

• Candidates must perform in a solo recital senior year; 1 art song and one other song of candidate’s choice OR perform a full length vocal solo in a Major choir concert (Winter/Prelude/Pops) OR be featured soloist in a major WHS Instrumental Music Program Concert.

Classes:

• 9th Grade: Fundamentals of Art OR Ceramics 1 OR Drafting OR Photoshop

• 10th Grade: Advanced Art OR Advanced Ceramics

• 11th Grade: AP Studio Art 2D or 3D

• 12th Grade: Studio Art 2D or 3D

 

Additional Requirements/Activities:

• Candidates must create a comprehensive art portfolio to be evaluated/approved by the art instructors.

Classes:

• 9th Grade: Any Concert Band OR Jazz Band OR Orchestra

• 10th Grade: Any Concert Band OR Jazz Band OR Orchestra

• 11th Grade: Advanced Concert Band, OR any Jazz Band OR Advanced Orchestra

• 12th Grade: Advanced Concert Band, OR any Jazz Band OR Advanced Orchestra

• In addition, students must take AP Music Theory

           

Additional Requirements/Activities:

• Candidates must take and pass the ABRSM Performance Test, level 5 or higher OR perform in a recital senior year

Classes:

• 9th Grade: Drama 1

• 10th Grade: Drama 2 OR Advanced Drama OR Stagecraft

• 11th Grade: Advanced Drama OR Stagecraft

• 12th Grade: Advanced Drama OR Stagecraft

• In addition, students must take one additional arts class during any year. (Additional drama, AP Music Theory, Orchestra, Visual Art, Drama, Choir etc.)

 

Additional Requirements/Activities:

• Candidates must complete at least one major performance acting or tech.

• Acting Candidates must also complete at least one festival performance or other extra-curricular performance.

• Stagecraft Candidates must also tech at least one extra­curricular theatrical performance.

Classes:

• 9th Grade: Any Dance (Level 1-2 or Advanced)

• 10th Grade: Any Dance (Level 1-2 or Advanced)

• 11th Grade: Advanced Dance

• 12th Grade: Advanced Dance

• In addition, students must take one additional arts class during any year. (Additional Dance, AP Music Theory, Orchestra, Visual Art, Drama, Choir etc.)

 

Additional Requirements/Activities:

• Candidates must perform in at least 4 dance concerts (Winter and Spring).

• Candidates must choreograph for 2 concerts and maintain an “A” grade. This will include written proposals, auditioning dancers, collaborating for costumes, and performing.

• Candidates must turn in a written evaluation after Senior concerts.
